GRETEL’S GARDEN QUILT
Had to show you what I have been working on for the last couple of months, Gretel’s Garden is my class project at the Galong Patchwork Retreat, which I am very thrilled to say I have been asked to be a tutor there this year. As you can see it is a mix of techniques, lots of little bits and pieces so you don’t get bored, made in lots of scrappy colours and fabrics.
For this quilt, I have used the Civil War Dressing Gowns fabrics, another wonderful range from Judie Rothermel, she did a range a few years ago, and put another one out that is in shops at the moment. I fell in love with these fabrics and felt that they were perfect for this quilt, and I am very happy with how they have come together.
It has to be quilted yet, but couldn’t wait to give you a sneak peak,
And another close-up, some of the beginnings of it,
NOW – if you would like to go to the Galong Patchwork Retreat and be in my class, you need to get booked in, as numbers and rooms are limited. Some people book from year to year, so if you have never been before, now would be a good time to put in a deposit to secure a spot, bring a friend and share a room and have a great weekend of sewing, friendship and relaxation, great food (wine is byo) and loads of inspiration.
