Okay, its been a couple of weeks, or actually a month back into classes, and its all systems go. Everyone seems keen to get on with projects and ideas for the year ahead. It has been a long hot summer, but now the rain has come and we are feeling a little more at ease and not having to water the garden is a great thing.
Firstly, I want to show you Helen’s quilt that she made at Patchwork on Parker, she has lovingly stitched this quilt for most of last year to get this complete for a family gift. The blue and red combination has worked very well and the border print is perfect, well done. It will be treasured greatly and Helen should be very proud of what she has achieved.
Helens gorgeous version of “Mulberries of Amaroo”, pattern by Country Matters.
A close up view, she has done a wonderful job.
Now, below is Faye’s quilt from my class at Simply Stitches, this is called ‘Just Judie’ from a beautiful book called English Paper Piecing by Vicki Bellino, she has whipped this up over the summer and brought it in for us all to see, it is just beautiful.
And this is Jane’s little baby quilt she made for a family gift as well. There are little stitcheries of baby animals and it is just adorable.
Now for some Lucy Boston updates,

And don’t forget to book your bed at The Galong Patchwork Retreat, 24-26 October, the photo below is the project I will be teaching, so give Lyn McDowell a ring on 0263 851500 or email Julie Brown at don307@active8.net.au. It will be a great weekend and I would love to have you join us – what could be better than a weekend of sewing with friends, staying up late with wine and chocies and forgetting about the world for a short time. Make a deposit now to secure a bed and then you have the next few months to pay it off and get your fabrics together.
Well that’s all I have for now, till next time, stay stitching and keep well…
